  • July 17, 2008 Vol 2 is the next step up from Vol 1.

I have used Volume 1 and Improvising Blues Piano by Tim Richards so I am a BIG fan of his. Volume 2 is the next version of Volume 1. Excellent books if you want to learn JAZZ. It takes lots of time to go through these books. I feel you...

need Volume 1 before jumping to Volume 2. All three of these books are the BEST "how to do" books I have ever used. I've been looking for these books for many years.

Along with volume 1, and Improvising Blues Piano, these books are THE mainstay of your jazz learning experience. YEARS of Patience are required.
