This arrangment is nice but very dificult to small group. You must have sopranos and Bass.

  • April 29, 2008 Fun Song!

I'm in the Savannah Children's Choir and im in the fifth grade. We sang this song and we sang it at the end of our concert. I overheard one older man say that he sang the song when he was in the Glee Club when he was in...

high school. The crowd was so entertained and we had gotten so many comments on it that we sing it at every concert and every choir season. The harmony is amazing! Listen to the blend!

  • January 16, 2008 Amazing!

Our school is doing this song for a Music Festival, and today our conductor was trying Sopranos out for the high B and D! It was intense, when they harmonized my ears were ringing (in a good way of course)!

  • March 14, 2007 A Challenging One but worth it

This song is so much fun to hear! It's very challenging, and although it isn't some mediocre pop song, it is a fun song to listen to with advanced musical technique needed to sing it! I had so much fun singing it, everybody is right when they say...

that it's a lot of work!

  • July 24, 2006 Challenging yet fulfilling

Elijah Rock is wonderfully arranged by Moses Hogan and, with proper interpretation, tells a story with simply its sound, even without the lyrics. Our Madrigal Singers (mixed grades) did this when I was in sixth grade and it was amazing-and satisfying-to hear how the dissonance of the basses...

and tenors in the opening to how the body of rhythmic bass/bari chant combined with the upper registers' voicings gelled after a month of hard work.
