  • November 19, 2014 Beyer is a great place to start

I use this book after one or two elementary books before young pianists learn their notes. Beyer will lead the students to progress piece by piece, all the way to the intermediate level. Some compositions are very pretty. Just that, this edition, has a few errors and the prints are...

hard to see. It is a good value but I'd rather buy other edition for my students.

  • August 23, 2014 Good starter

I like Beyer method because it explains all the basics and each exercise makes sense to those explanations. This edition, though, there are some mistakes in the numbers for the fingers. What I like about it is that it shows Do-re-mi. Not just the alphabet.

  • February 17, 2013 Beyer Op. 101 ......

Great piano book, the very best to aid one into the Carl Czerny Opus 823 & 599, then one can go further, but one MUST successfully complete Beyer FIRST before he or she can start Czerny Op. 823 or Op.599! Fantastic book, lovely pedigogy and beautiful pieces, and at a...

    very low price!

  • November 19, 2011 Czerny Piano Institute

This is a fantastic beginnier book with a European methodology behind it. Even simplified, we use it for the youngest students in our Institute.

  • March 26, 2009 Excellent Note Reading Program!

This volume provides great systematic note reading practice. It would be even better if someone would create an edition for young children. I found this book in two volumes with the note size magnified and artwork included to appeal to young children at the Beseto store in Baltimore, Maryland. My...

youngest students (age 4 and up) are doing very well with it. I hope someone will create a version in English (the set at the Beseto store is in Korean, but the language of music is universal)!
