Composed by Hasan Ferit Alnar. 20th Century,World. Sheet Music Single. 21 pages. Published by Sonic Crossroads (S0.6741).

Hasan Ferit Alnar (1906-1978) is one of the first generation of Turkish composers of Western classical music known as the "Turkish Five." He is particularly known for his ability to meld elements of traditional Ottoman music and Western music as he was an accomplished performer on the kanun, a zither. This set of pieces is a true gem with catchy tunes, exciting rhythms, and all geared toward the late intermediate/early advanced piano performer. Alnar dedicated the set to his teacher of harmony in Turkey, Huseyin Sadettin Arel, a well known theorist. This is a new edition based on the first Turkish edition. 21 pp. (The audio clip is of the second piece, "Languorous Dance".).
