A fanfarish version of Ode to Joy, by Handel (theme also used by Beethoven in his Ninth Symphony), is a little on the short side as a work. It's a great opener and it can be used for Christmas church services as well. Some prefer a more pastoral version, but this arrangement is popular with audiences.
