Psalm 118:1-2, Psalm 14-24, Matthew 28:1-10, Mark 16:1-11, Luke 24:1-12, John 20:1-18.

Spread the news: "Jesus is alive! The stone was rolled away!" This lively gospel resurrection anthem features a triumphant refrain, "Glory, hallelujah, hear the angels sing!" The verses are inspired by Jesus' appearance to Mary Magdalene outside the empty tomb. The rollicking piano accompaniment adds to the fun! Exciting and different for Easter and Eastertide! Suggested scriptures: Psalm 118: 1-2 & 14-24, Matthew 28: 1-10, Mark 16: 1-11, Luke 24: 1-12, John 20: 1-18.

It is not easy to find music that will make a small, limited-range church choir sound good...and this song is PERFECT! This is probably the most fun song we have ever done. Check out Larson's "Glory to God!" for Christmas; it has the same positive qualities.
