This Duo for Alto Sax and Piano by Jack Normain Kimmell was first performed by an excellent musician, Ed Clifford and pianist Mary Lou Smith at Fountain Street Church and in a concert of my music at the GRAM (Grand RapidsArt Museum) It is contemporary and somewhat atonal (as most of my music). It is rhythmic, quite melodious and somewhat melancholy. Duo for Alto Sax and Piano is lovingly dedicated to Mary, my excellent music and artist wife.
