I've always loved Selena, ever since I was a little girl. Her voice is just amazing, and lets remember these songs were written for her voice. When I purchased the book, I'd never really tried to sing her songs. An upcoming recital drove me to buy it. However...

I found that her vocal range is just too low for me. I'm a soprano, and this book requires for persons with higher voices to either transpose, or to work extremely hard on their belt technique by placing everything as nasal as possible to maintain the constant emote. Throughout the song. A few hit to middle C but not much else. I do not recommend this book for soprano's, or voices that have not developed their technique to go lower on the vocal scale. Perfect for beginners, mezzo-sopranic voices, and altos.
