I have had this piece since I was in high school and my original copy is now tattered and yellowed. This copy is nicely bound inside a stiff cover, and gives information about the piece. It is not easy to play, is completely solo, but is a great piece for...

playing nearly the entire range of the instrument. Fun to play and imagine the goats jumping on the rocks and quietly grazing by a brook.

It's great to have an interesting, challenging piece to play on solo flute besides "Syrinx". This is it!

I could really see goats jumping around as I played. It is very expressive starting out calm, gets exciting, and calms again in the end. It is truly fun to play. Four years ago, I used this piece at my audition to get into a university School of Music. I...

    got in.
