Orchestra - Grade 3
Arranged by Harry Alshin. SmartMusic; String Orchestra. String Orchestra. Traditional. Conductor Score & Parts. 86 pages. Published by Alfred Music (AP.5190).

Item Number: AP.5190

Harry Alshin has adapted this timeless love song to the accessible key of D major. Cellos start the opening phrase which is then passed to the violins. The counter melodies are carefully interwoven for adding a rich inner texture. Along with the alternate parts, this beautifully done arrangement would be a splendid combined festival orchestra performance piece. All parts are within first position range with optional fingerings for advanced players. This title is available in SmartMusic.
List/syllabus: TX UIL PML: Orch, Strings, Guitar.

my 8th grade middle school is performing this piece for festival (a graded region wide performance) and ive learned to love it. although its a slow moving song with easy fingerings and rhythms, its difficult to play because of the implicit phrasing and dynamics. its a great piece for mature...

players because it sounds 110% percent better with the right technique. i would recommend this to any orchestra director looking for a unique piece to perform at their next concert, or even just for fun.
