    San Diego, CA
    Difficulty Level:
  • April 24, 2009 Beautiful Melodies

The first two songs have these beautiful haunting melodies "Con que la lavare?" and "Vos me matasteis". The last two, "De donde venis, amore?" and "De los alamos vengo, madre." speed up a bit and have beautiful coloratura sections. If you're looking to expand your spanish rep. This is...

a lovely choice. All the songs are pretty short. I recommend listening to a recording of Maria De Los Angeles. She does a lovely job and I believe you can hear it on www.youtube.com

This is a little pricey for four songs, but they're good pieces and its a good edition. Literal translations would be good, because the singable are not very accurate.
