Jazz Ensemble (Score & Parts)
By Maynard Ferguson. By Andy Weiner. Jazz Honors Edition. Published by Hal Leonard (HL.8721571).

Item Number: HL.8721571

9x12 inches.

If you have the horses, let 'em run with this churnin', burnin' swing monster from Maynard's big band album, 'Big Bop Nouveau.' This chart really burns, but will sound just as hot with the tempo turned down a notch or two. Includes some smokin' optional choruses featuring saxes alone without rhythm section.

this song i believe is one of the best songs i, for one, have ever played, i've played sax for 5 years and played this song in my 8th grade year, this song goes pretty fast and mainly features the sax section with a big soli in the middle...

. starting it with a cool bari intro, then the tenor following the same rhythm, then finally, come the altos leading the soli. this song must be bought and played!

This is a sax players dream come true, from lead alto to 2nd tenor to bari. There are about 120 measures in the middle of the song where just the saxes play in a soli. It offers everything, and its just a great jazz song
