I am writing this review as a jazz double bass player. I personally think that good Country guitar playing is as good as it gets - it's not just the notation, it's the techniques involved. Even if you loathe country music (which a lot of people do on principle...

without ever bothering to listen to the likes of Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed or Albert Lee - the fools) this book/CD package can only improve your inventiveness, even if you never play anything vaguely country. And what is more, things that sound incredibly clever, are, in this book, relatively easy to reproduce.
