  • December 15, 2007 Mr. Anon One Star

Even Marty himself states that he plays things differently in the studio than on stage. In the studio, to record, he plays things more technical and logical. On stage he plays things "all over the neck" to make more of a show --- to make it look more difficult and more...

interesting. He has endorsed this book. You don't have a clue as to what you are talking about. Learn the music, then add the "show" to it once you have mastered the song.

  • October 12, 2007 This IS a great book.

Ignore the reviewer who gave this book 1 star. He says to look at live footage of marty playing the solos, but marty always improvised live so they're not the same solos anyway! All the parts in these books are accurately transcribed, INCLUDING THE SOLOS.

  • August 31, 2006 I know how to play these songs

I know how to play these songs (especially Marty Friedman's lead guitar parts) the correct way, and this is not the correct way to play them. Go watch some live video footage of Dave and Marty actually playing this stuff and you'll see the riffs & solos are tabbed...

out the wrong way in this book.

  • May 19, 2006 Very good book

minor tabbing errors, with some common sense and some thought, you should be able to figure out how to play the parts. Definitely worth the cash, and a very good book to learn from because it is some of Megadeth's best work but not near as hard as rust...

in peace. A good song to master for beginners is sweating bullets because it is miderately challenging but not impossible.
