  • December 12, 2009 Liebestraum is a beautiful piece.

Suggestions: study by section. There are 4. Every practice, however, do the 2 cadences so that by the time you finish the piece you shall have mastered the cadenzas. You will note that you will spend 25% shorter time doing the 2nd section than the 1st.. and the 3rd and...

4th... by 50%, each, shorter time than you did the 1st. Keep track of the melodie which is in both hands.. and put emphasis on these notes. Why? Because in playing the whole piece later, you will have to bring out the melodie to the fore. If you are an intermediate student and have been there for at least a year you should be able to play this beautiful song in 2-3 months (doing 1 hour a day,4-5 times a week).

  • June 09, 2008 Love it!

This book has been a favorite of mine since high school. I am still fighting all the sharps in Liebestraum #3, but, hey, it's Liszt!!

  • April 08, 2008 Old School Classical Piano,

It's Liszt, what can I say? Definitely not for beginners. But then again, if you want to play Liszt, you gotta' practice. This is surely not for the re-mix and copy age of computers. You have to actually play it and that takes work. Good Luck.
