This double concerto is wonderful! Although I've never heard a recording of it that did it full justice. The first time I played the first solo cello with a small band, we were only two cellos wich meant that the continuo section was only one double bass and a...

harpsichord, wich actually turned out to work very well indeed! The second movement has only the solos plus continuo, so the violins and violas had nothing to do in it. But during rehearsals they wanted the four of us to play it over and over again because it's just so beautiful!

  • March 26, 2009 Arrived quickly - just what I ordered

My order placed with sheetmusicplus.com arrived in good time to my APO address. I want to commend sheetmusicplus.com for delivering to APO addresses. Those of us working/serving the USGovernment overseas know that shipping to an APO address is just like shipping to any state in the union...

. Unfortunately, too many companies won't ship to APO addresses. My APO is my link to my home and it keeps my morale high. Thanks, sheetmusicplus.com for serving those of us who serve far from home!

  • May 13, 2008 Amazing!

I first heard this on CD and had to purchase the music because I loved the piece so much. I have been playing the cello for six years and this is one of my favorites already. My instructor and his pianist friend are planning to play this with me at...

an upcoming event. I like the fact that both cello parts are equally challenging.
