I am a non-music major playing in a Division 1 university wind ensemble, and I used this concerto to study for lessons. Great for building endurance and technical skills, and a lot of fun to play!

  • November 17, 2010 A wonderful concerto!

This is truly one of my favourite pieces for the horn. Although this concerto is less known relative to other horn concertos, it is definitely one of the important works to include in the horn repertoire. I will recommend the recording by Hermann Baumann as a very good guidline to...

performing this piece. This concerto is also a perfect recital and competition piece. Enjoy!
