  • October 19, 2007 Be careful of this edition

This is not the solo piano part alone for the concerto, but actually a piano only condensation of piano and orchestra into a single piano solo. The description of this work (and the preview of the first page) doesn't really spell out what this manuscript is. Written actually by...

Bizet this is for an advanced person who wants to play the concerto in a recital environment. Needless to say, like any condensation, some of the greatness of this concerto is lost. It is a very flashy solo piece, but nothing like the real McCoy! (Especially the third movement which gets very difficult at speed!)

  • August 06, 2007 A Beautiful High-quality Document!

This is a beautiful copy of a fantastic concerto. The pages are big, loose leafed, and printed in France. The arrangement was done by Bizet. It's worth the price just to have this item sitting on your piano and looking impressive. I'm not sure why that previous customer...

was disappointed. Any serious music lover will adore this piece!

  • June 04, 2007 Saint-Saens Piano Concerto No. 2

If you're actually looking for a two piano version of this concerto, don't buy this edition. Also the pages of this are not bound together and are etremely large. Overall, I do not suggest buying this at all.
