This copy is very concise. It feature all of the ORIGINAL markings. This is very important for an authentic performance. This piece is not extremely taxing technically but requires a firm tempo and temperment in order to capture the dignity of the piece. Would not recommend to beginners. This edition...

was recommended to me by my teacher who has a Ph.D in music history by the way.

BAERENREITER has consistently produced the most authentic and at the same time visually pleasing editions of BACH's keyboard works for a long time now; this one is no exception. Only downside to consider is that, in the spirit of being as "ur"-text as possible, they do not show...

any fingering advice. If you prefer guidance with fingering, the editions from HENLE are the next best.
