  • March 17, 2009 I love this song!

The song is amazing. It's well balanced and the most challenging thing I have ever played and frankly, the best thing I have ever played.

  • January 28, 2009 really good

Ibert is a great composer in my opinion. I would suggest it to anyone who wants some fairly hard solos. MY advice is to have a good piano player and a teacher who modern classic music. Definitely great concertino. the second movement has a lot of depth to it.

a modern classic Ibert made and is one of the hardest piece for the saxophone repertory, i personly loved it but to learn the piece you will have too play almost 4 hours daily on it!

  • June 30, 2008 Excellent practice material.

I bought this after I found out that Branford Marsalis had a recording of this piece of music on one of his CD's. It is a challenging composition for saxophone and coming from a jazz background, I feel it does not hurt to study some classical saxophone as well...

. I recommend that you get a recording of an artist playing this piece in additon to the written music. This composition covers all ranges of the alto saxophone, that is another reason why I purchased it.

  • March 13, 2008 An exciting and excellent selection!

This is one of my favorite saxophone solos. It has everything: technical passages, lyrical passages, and sometimes difficult rhythms. An excellent selection, but make sure your accompanist gets it early.... The piano part is extremely difficult!
