  • October 04, 2015 Only useful for actual ensemble performance

If you actually are a conductor and you have an orchestra ensemble and you are preparing a concert, this should be perfect for you. All the instrumentation is well done (and not even difficult). BUT if you are just a lover of orchestral music and cinema scoring you will be...

very frustrated. This score picks and chooses arbitrary excerpts (ranging from 10 seconds to a minute or several minutes) here and there from the differing tracks on the soundtrack. Even when you go to the trouble to locate the places in the audio soundtrack which a given page in this score is meant to reflect, it skips measures and uses flutes and horns in all kinds of places that the actual scoring does not. It is impossible to simply listen to the recordings while following along w/ the score, which is what I wanted to do.
