    Toronto, ON
    Difficulty Level:
  • August 04, 2009 Very good classical pieces in a book!

I really like this book. Actually I am going to have a Grade 6 exam at RCM (Canada) and there are plenty of pieces inside collected in a book for cheap price than other books for more and maybe won't contain some what you need and has to buy...

another book too. I like this book! Pretty much challenging pieces are in it, but an intermediate0advanced player can go through on it.

    Difficulty Level:
  • February 02, 2005 Great learning tool

This book has beautiful and mostly familiar classical arrangements which are wonderful for the flute. One of the very first solos I ever played was "Gavotte" by Gossec from this book. Later, I played "Pan!" (Donjon) and "Andalouse" (Pessard) as I became more skilled. Some other favorites of mine are...

"Siciliana and Giga" (Handel), "Minuet" (Bizet), "Serenade" (Hayden). This book gives the flutist various pieces to keep advancing his/her skill. If you can learn to play classical music, you can learn to play any other kind of music. Great book! Be sure to order the piano accompaniment book, also.

This book is great for players with experience. It has some very difficult pieces such as The Flight of the Bumblebee. It is a great book if you are looking for a challenge. I recommend at least 4 years of playing experience. I have played for seven years and some...

of the pieces are still to advanced for me. I think this is a great book if you want to preform a piece because you can also get the accompanist book.
