  • May 29, 2009 Great musical...but be ready!

When I read the info on the play prior to the school year, I thought it would be a fabulous way to end the year after studying about composers. The students did a fantastic job and I was very happy with the songs, lyrics and content. You can never go...

wrong with John Jacobson!!! But, one of my first problems was that I purchased the play for my 3rd graders. I had to work hours with the students to get their parts down. The music wasn't too difficult for them, including the fugue which divides into 2 parts. (That just took practice!) My other major hurdle was the costumes. I had to get help from many sources but it turned out fantastic!
