    Difficulty Level:
  • September 10, 2012 Brahms complete works for solo piano

I bought this Volume 1 of Brahms Complete Works for solo Piano because I had heard on a classical music station here in Los Angeles, Brahms " Variations and Fugue on a theme by Handel, Op. 24. The piece intrigued me so much I just had to see the compositional form...

of this piece. In looking through Sheet Music Plus' library I found just what I wanted in the Schirmer's Library of Musical Classics. I trust in all things Schirmer's. It is a given that everything that Schirmer's has done is fully researched and all appropriate advice on a particular composer's style, content and application towards rendition will be fully covered! This volume is way beyond my abilities, but I have a great teacher and someday in the future I will attempt this piece and others by Brahms.

    Difficulty Level:
  • November 14, 2006 Brahms’ exciting piano works

The piano pieces included in this book are some of the most exciting and beautiful piano works of Johannes Brahms. From the triumphant tone of Sonata #1 to the darkly colored virtuosity of the Paganini Variations, every piece embodies a different shade of the personality of Brahms and yet contains...

his characteristic romantic coloring and mysterious harmonic adventure.

    Difficulty Level:
  • February 13, 2004 The most difficult pieces of Brahms

Brahms music is always delighting and astonishing. This edition include all of the most difficult pieces of Brahms. If you are serious Brahms lover, of course you should try it. Yet, the music in this editions are not really rythmetically interesting.
