  • April 21, 2010 Good book, no fingering is understandable

For everyone complaining about the fingering, editorial fingering is hardly ever helpful simply because Rachmaninoff's music might feel comfortable for people will big hands, but with other hand sizes, you must re-adjust the fingering if it is ever given. Rachmaninoff's hands were HUGE, so his fingerings and...

the fingerings given by editors with big hands are rarely helpful for those that don't have such big hands. Anyways, this book is amazing! Good buy! It has everything in it, and even the classic Op. 3 No. 2! Buy buy buy!!!!

This is a great book and edition if the pianist wants to go in depth with the study of Rachmaninoff's Preludes. Great fingering and great tips for playing the pieces

  • December 17, 2007 Great challenge

This book is a great addition to my music library. I bought it because I wanted the Prelude # 5 in G minor - the other songs were a plus. It is definitely at an advanced, concert-level book, and anyone who is looking for a challenge would enjoy it.
