  • May 11, 2007 Great arrangement of Grand Solo by Ferdinand Sor

Between several other great compositions of Dionisio Aguado, in this volume there is a very interesting and beautiful arrangement fullfilled by Aguado, on the Grand Solo (Concert in Re) composed by Ferdinand Sor. Simply superb!

There are some excellent pieces contained herein, particularly the Trois Rondos Brillantes. Difficulty is to be found mainly in some taxing picado work in 32nd(and 64th, I think) notes. Left hand is fairly difficult as well, though there aren't too many monster stretches or anything. Very rewarding pieces...

in terms of technique, and of course the sound itself. The intro is very brief and the vast majority of the book is sheet music, which is perfectly fine by me.
