Steve Kaufman is the best all-around teacher in the flatpicking world. This book, part of a Mel Bay series, reveals Steve's complete understanding of flatpicked guitar and allows him to share large portions of that knowledge through CD, DVD and printed page. Transcription is dead on. Recorded examples...

are clear and cleanly executed. And Steve's philosophy of give, give, give helps anyone motivated to learn Bluegrass Flatpicking truly everything they need for a solid, intermediate to advanced level grounding. I was a beginner when I bought the first edition of this book. After many years of such books and tapes (I've developed an addiction to guitar teaching material), I am mostly indebted to Complete Flatpicking for the rock solid foundation it gave me. This book is tops!
