A contemporary ballad with lyrics about reconciling love: “Down on the sandy shore I lie, where breezes blow and seagulls fly. I hope the sun will warm my heart, the pain of loneliness depart…Come to me love. Come to me now…Let’s share the joy that lovers feel when lonely hearts begin to heal….” The piano accompaniment sets the mood of a soothing serenade with rhythmic arpeggios in the bass clef and graceful chord harmonies in the treble clef. The simplicity of the vocal melody typifies the beauty of healing love as the narrative reveals a longing to renew a love once shared. This score is written in the key of D with a vocal range from the B below middle C to the second E above. The piano accompaniment is not difficult as it progresses through repetitive chord sequences. This piece also makes an enchanting instrumental addition to a variety of venues such as weddings, recitals, or background music. The vocal part easily adapts to a violin or other C instrument. A separate 2-page soloist part is included along with the 8-page full score.
