    Difficulty Level:
  • September 12, 2008 Good standards book

I took up piano, much later in life, at age 50. It's much more difficult to play well starting that late. However, I needed a book where I could learn standards presented at a level of difficulty not exceeding the intermediate level. This book fits the bill perfectly for...

me. I think the melodies presented are a great mix and with the chord signatures and progressions shown, one can improvise at will.

    Difficulty Level:
  • April 30, 2008 Disappointed in this book

This book was listed as "easy piano," but I found it to be quite difficult. Many of the songs had 3 flats or sharps, and I don't think they were at all easy to play. I was extremely disappointed with this purchase. Don't waste your time if you...

are looking for simple songs to play.

    Difficulty Level:
  • April 04, 2008 This is NOT easy piano!

I was very disappointed with this book. I chose it because it is supposed to be EASY, but in my opinion, it is intermediate. If you are a beginner, or are picking up the piano after years of being away from it, this book will probably be too hard for...

    you to play.

Great book for beginner to intermediate. I was looking for jazz standards that are arranged in a way that do not require advanced paino skills to sound great once that tune as arranged is mastered.
