I sang it in Phoenix years ago - to my great joy I just discovered it had been written by my wonderful friend, Wanda West Palmer! It is no surprise to me that such a marvelously talented, loving and spiritual woman penned this poignant, most heartfelt mother's lullaby in honor...

of the birth of the baby who would so change the world. I never felt His spirit so deeply as those times when I sang this for Him.

One of the most moving Christmas pieces I've ever heard. I dare any mother to sing it without crying. I haven't yet figured out how! The melody is simple (as a lullaby should be) and the message, from Mary's point of view, is poignant. This would be...

a lovely addition to any Christmas program or gathering.

  • January 13, 2009 lovely song

I am an untrained singer with good intentions but not tons of experience. This piece was pretty easy to learn and with practise I was able to perform it nicely in our church Christmas program. I appreciated the optional lower note written in for those of us who cannot hit...

the high E flat. It's a lovely song. (The accompanist said the accompaniment was easy.)

  • December 28, 2008 Lovely, inspirational Christmas favorite

Since I first heard the song in Texas 20 years ago, it became an instant favorite. I introduced it to my English friends and since then, it has been performed each year at Christmas. It is poingant and sweet, helping open the door to the true meaning of Christmas.
