  • September 25, 2002 Command Performance!!!

On April 27, 2002, there's a rating festival for any music instruments in our town. My friend Jason and I decided to perform this piece after we've practiced for 6 months (He and I are very advanced at piano and during those time, we practiced and practiced until...

we could play this piece so wonderfully), and we got rated as a Command Performance!!! (Command Performance was the highest rate over all) Also for your information, that was our first time performing a piano duet in front of public. On that very night, we were asked to play this piece again and after we finished, the hall was full of clapping and the whole audience was standing!! This piece is very interesting and enjoyable; lots of energy. Everybody likes it so much. I highly recommend this piece to everyone!

  • June 24, 2002 Excellent piece

I originally found this piece at a local music store after digging through boxes of music and I decided to buy it, only because at the time I was interested in Oriental music. This piece is built on the pentatonic scale, but, at the most with just one flat, so...

it doesn't have an impossible key signature to go along with it. The piece is separated into three movements, fast-slow-fast, and they are all really quite good. The last is the most difficult, but they all have runs. The first player especially needs to be good at playing fast and for a long time too. The piece features both pianists; it's not just a first player solo. It is one piano, 4 hands, and with all three movements, probably about 8 minutes long. All together, this is truly an awesome piece, even though each movement can stand alone and still be good. My fellow pianist and I get requests to play this piece at anybodys house with a piano; it's very likable, and has a lot of energy throughout. Great piece.
