I'm a student that has to audition a few of these pieces for college and I have to say I was overwhelmed when I first opened this book. I play guitar and this is a very difficult book to play out of. I mean, Charlie Parker was an insane...

player on the sax. This book is not meant to be easy, it's clearly for a hard working musician. I do like the page on the back of the book where it shows you what scales and modes you can use for improvisation if you can't play the solos note for note.

  • November 09, 2007 HAPPY FRETTING WITH THE KING OF BEBOP!

I'm a guitar player who holds a huge admiration for the guitar style of Joe Pass. Through this web site I have purchased a number of Joe Pass authored books and transcriptions. To supplement my reading studies I ordered a copy of the "Charlie Parker Omnibook". Certainly a great...

value for the price, accurate transcriptions of more tunes than you'll ever be able to get to. An excellent way to improve your reading, position playing and enjoy the sweet notes that Charlie Parker left us. What could be better than that!
