A must have for all saxophonists. Improve your technique & sightreading, learn the lines of master saxophonist, Charlie Parker. Chord changes are often inaccurate.

Buy the omnibook, buy the appropriate recordings, and listen/play. Listening is a must with this book--the notes are just notes w/o Parker's jazz inflection. Charlie Parker was the master--this book can help you learn from the master, but you must listen, listen, and listen to...

    Parker's recordings first and foremost.

This book is fantastic. This is one of those books where EVERY single song is great. Of course, this is Charlie Parker! What else can you expect! This is a must. I'm only 13, and my jazz band teacher is 40, and we both love it. It's great...

for all ages. A definite for every jazz lover out there!

  • July 02, 2006 Charlie parker is a mavin

The book is simply amazing. The solos, however, are complexly musical. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes jazz. Although the Charlie Parker's solos are complex, the listener will eventually understand them and see Charlie for the true genius He is. One can use the book for...

just learning the stunning solos, going though the chords and learning what notes he use relative to the chord (And thus begin to learn to improvise or refine improvising technique) or go through the chord changes and improvise. This is the necessary book for the jazz player.
