Concert Band - Grade 3
Composed by Elliot Del Borgo. Concert Band; SmartMusic. Belwin Concert Band. Conductor Score & Parts. 244 pages. Published by Belwin Music (AP.BD01000).

Item Number: AP.BD01000
ISBN 0757933106.

Cast in three main sections, Chant Rituals makes use of two contrasting thematic statements to exploit the timbral and rhythmic resources of the symphonic band. A highly chromatic middle section leads to a dramatic restatement of the original material. A powerful and dramatic work for concert and contest. This title is available in SmartMusic.
Concert/Contest.

  • June 23, 2007 AMAZAZING!

My middle school symphonic band played Chant Rituals. Wow! We sounded so good! The 1st clarinet part is my favorite because I played that part but still the song actually makes me feel like I am in a ritual of some kind. It is osm!

  • December 04, 2006 creepy...in a very very good way

This is a great song. My band is playing it in our concert next week, and may perform it in CA in April. I love the chant section. It sends chills up my spine, whch is a great feeling to get when playing. It's absolutely fabulous.

  • March 09, 2006 Great!

A wonderful piece of music. We are currently playing this song in our 10-12 grade band, and the music sticks out wonderfully. A great song for horn players (being a horn player.) It did remind me of the piece Old Churches because of it's dark, mysterious part in...

the middle with the alto solo. All in all, a great piece.

  • March 16, 2005 Love this song

We played this in 8th grade and I loved it and still do even though it's been such a long time. This is a song that once you've learned, you don't forget
