I bought this for someone for the holidays. I was disappointed with it for two reasons: (1) The 'orchestra' on the accompaniment CD sounds like little more than programmed midi tracks and not a real orchestra (2) The accompaniment is FAST--too fast if you're trying to learn the...

songs from the start and the CD only plays the songs at ONE speed; I wouldn't mind the fast playing orchestra if they also put one which played more slowly (maybe 1/2 or 3/4 speed)--if these are midi tracks (and they really sound like it), how hard would it be to include slower versions on the CD too? What I did like about the book was the selection of songs and the "idea" of having an accompaniment to play along with (the melody is, as advertised, somewhat hidden in the orchestration which makes it good for playing along as the "lead" and learning).
