I've had this book for about 11 years now, and I can't believe the simple mistakes I've found in this book throughout the songs. Some tunings are off by a single string in the wrong pitch. Your told to play a natural harmonic on one string, but...

listen to the album, its on another string on the same fret. The intro on "Safe Place" is wrong, its 12, 12,12, 10 with the D# string ringing open. Overall this is a great book to understand how to play a baritone guitar, and you'll enjoy the riffs. Some parts are really tucked away from hearing, but you'll find your way. Great Album from my High School Years. With the Exception of "Can't Believe", and "Epiphany". The tunings Mike Mushok uses are as follows: (Low to High) G#/Ab C#/Db, G#/Ab, F#/Gb, A#/Bb, and the SECOND TUNING is G#/Ab D#/Eb, G#/Ab, F#/Gb, A#/Bb. MARK UP THE BOOK WITH CORRECTIONS FOR FUTURE YEARS TO COME :)

"Well, like most sheet music books, its only good for a foundation of what to work with, but they arent 100% accurate. More like 85%. A lot of leads are messed up, and some of the chords are incorrect...but like i said, a decent foundation."

  • February 10, 2005 I learned it all!!

Hey there this book is a perfect way to learn guitar. I have been playing guitar for about 11 months now and i managed to learn the whole book! Its not so hard but you don't only need a baritone guitar for it. I use my guitar on Drop...

Db and I can manage to play about 9 songs on it. Well enjoy it because it is a great book and Staind ROCKS!!

  • December 28, 2003 Not only a tab book but....

Not only is this a tab book but it also teaches alot of chords and scales on a baritone guitar. In the ADADGB and AEADGB tunings. If you want to know alot of chords in these tunings and dont know notes on the fretboard to good to figure them out...

then alot of the chords are in this book. 5 stars for me.
