Ropp (A0.971697).Brass Postlude 4 was designed to be used on those Sunday mornings when a brass quintet is available for the choir anthem, and it is desired to make maximum use of the quintet. There is a corresponding Brass Prelude 4 that goes with it. Brass Postlude 4 is very Baroque in style; it is a grand fugue ending in a huge triumphal plagal cadence. It provides a beautiful and uplifting sendoff for worshipers. Its fugal nature could also serve a pedagogical purpose. Brass Postlude 4 could work for quintets of a variety of ages and skill levels.
