Pretty good book with good explanations. I liked the play along CD, but I wish the tempo were slower. You'd have to be pretty good to keep up.

  • August 27, 2008 A Great Intro To Blues Styles And Solo Basics

The book comes with an instructional CD. It's very helpful. Cuts include the full band and a version without the lead guitar. The author gives detailed instruction on his particular technique, but encourages the students own interpretation. A very pleasant surprise.

I originally bought this on cassette years ago. This covers all the essential blues styles in a comprehensive, easy to replicate manner. Absolutely indispensable! I come back to it again and again!
