This book includes all of "Alfred's Teach Yourself to Play Blues at the Keyboard", all of "Alfred's Teach Yourself to Play Jazz at the Keyboard" and some of "Alfred's Teach Yourself to Play like a Pro at the Keyboard" (all by Konowitz) [In case you have any...

of these books or are thinking of buying any of them]. Most of the pieces in the book are only about a page long. I think the author has kept them short and simple for instructional purposes rather than for recital purposes, i.e. so that more ideas on the blues and jazz can be included in the book (already a fat book). I can't comment on the CD's because I bought the book without them (when they were still an "optional companion"). Incidentally, I really enjoy playing Konowitz's original (non-instructional) pieces in 'Jazz Gems' (Books 1 and 2 - early to late intermediate)
