Bluegrass Blowout is a bright, energetic country “barn dance” that should be played with footstomping,“fiddle-playing” enthusiasm. The ostinato figures that occur in the cellos and violins, along with the tambourine, set the pulse and drive Bluegrass Blowout forward. Sticks on a snaredrum rim may be substituted for the tambourine. This part is particularly important at m. 26.
