I thought about this piece when I was sitting in my apartment at CSU San Bernardino as a music student. I first thought of it as a slower ballad--Yeah, it's going to be a blue night." But then, I had a chance to write for the jazz combo I was playing in and decided to pick up the tempo. It is now a bouncy ballad-esque jazzy piece complete with spots for soloing. Get your soloing chops ready! Full score only. Note: It doesn't include the piano introduction at the beginning of the audio recording.
