A Fast Paced Be-Bop infused Saxophone Octet (with part included for additional Bass Sax) inspired by the style and riffs of Charlie 'The Bird' Parker. The piece was written for Nottingham (UK) based Equinox Saxophone ensemble, which comprises seven female players to two male (hence the ratio!). A fantastic crowd pleaser and tremendous fun to play. Although it sounds great at the recommended speed, it also sounds similarly excellent a tad slower. Bird's Ratio recently received a great review from Gerard McCrystal in the CASS journal (Clarinet and Saxophone Society of Great Britain).
