Flute, String Quartet - Advanced Intermediate
Composed by Ian Deterling. 21st Century, Neo-Classical. Score, Set of Parts. 27 pages. Published by Ian A. Deterling (S0.71611).

Item Number: S0.71611

This piece of music illustrates Bilbo Baggins from J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. Beginning as a graceful dance resembling the Shire, the music follows Bilbo as he travels to different places in Middle Earth. The quiet middle pizzicato section is the 'burglar' demonstrating his skill, sneaking around unnoticed. The piece ends where it began because it is a tale of a hobbit; there and back again.
