This is a fabulous publication. As a violin teacher I know how dull the classical curriculum often seems for most teenage violinists. This text is ideal for helping well trained young violinists make the switch from classical (that's how most violinists are trained in primary and secondary school) into...

rock and jazz band. Well trained yung violinists can use this book on their own or with their teacher's help. A good accompaniment to this text is Didier Lockwood's Cordes & Ame' (in french so a bit challenging for English speaking types.
