BEETHOVEN: Concerto No. 1 in C major, Op. 15 (Digitally Remastered 2 CD set)

BEETHOVEN: Concerto No. 1 in C major, Op. 15 (Digitally Remastered 2 CD set) composed by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827). For piano. Instrumental Solo Part and 2 CDs. Published by Music Minus One (MO.MMOCD6001).

ISBN 1596157542.

The spirited and graceful Concerto No. 1 in C was actually written after the B-flat No. 2. It is an impressive work, filled with wonderful pianism. This deluxe 2CD edition includes a reduced-tempo version of the concerto for your practice as you get up to speed!

Includes a high-quality printed solo part (with orchestral reduction) and two compact discs, containing a complete stereo version with soloist; then a second stereo version of the orchestral accompaniment, minus the soloist. Also included is a version of the accompaniment at reduced tempo for practice purposes.

  • July 05, 2012 good print, bad CDs

The paper and print quality are great! notes are large enough to read. However, the CDs on this are really bad. Tempo is hard to be in time with and the pianist and orchestra are really out of balance.

  • May 05, 2006 The worst quality

The quality of the recording is awful. It’s sounds really old. I don’t know what it means when they say “digitally remastered. The reduced-tempo practice version of the concerto is even worse, since it hasn’t been recorded at reduced tempo, but it’s only a digital...

data processing of the normal speed version. In my opinion, the concerto hasn’t been recorded without the piano. The minus one version has been produced muting the piano part in the whole orchestral version. You can notice it in the way it is performed. I would never recommend this item.

  • March 16, 2006 need to be perfect

If you can play the piece with 0 mistakes and stay exactly on tempo through every single measure, then this would be great. Otherwise, it sounds awful. Came with 2 CDs that are not well labeled as to what the tracks are. 1 CD contains 2 up-to-tempo versions...

: with piano and without. The other also contains 2 version: up-to-tempo with piano and slow without piano. You end up with 2 sets of full speed with piano tracks and no slow with piano. This addition alone would be a major improvement. The track information is not included on the CD so if you use it on a computer, you only get "Track 1", "Track 2", etc. This means you need to keep checking the key to determine which track you need. With this technology so simple it is annoying that it is not there. A nice feature
