I'm very pleased with the speed of delivery of the books for BSOB. I'm used to the Judd's rendition, and thought it'd be a little more similar - but it's beautiful, regardless, and our pianist likes it. Music is easy to follow. My personal taste feels...

that the melody going up at the end does not fit with the music, but not everyone agrees with me. It IS just that, my taste. I LOVE Sheetmusicplus.com amd I recommend this music.

The piano arrangement is beautiful. I purchased this for a mens choir and it even though it is written SATB, it can easily be done in two parts instead of four. I noticed a comment about the three different key changes. It is a gradual change, can be played easily...

, and an easy transition for most choirs. I love this arrangement new arrangement of an old and much loved carol.

  • January 28, 2009 Beware of what's in it.

I heard this song for the first time on a Gaithers special, and I liked it and wanted my family of 5 to sing it for xmas eve service. I found the music here at sheetmusicplus.com, but when I got the music it was 15 pages long with 3...

key changes. Key changes were difficult. I made it work by just playing the first 3 pages before the key changes, and going thru the versus while repeating the first 3 pages. It turned out good xmas eve, but this was a challenge vocally as its written. It would be good for a advanced choir.

This song is a cheerful, with easy rhythm in waltz time. We're singing it for our church, and for a group of churches. There are only 9 in our choir, but the song sounds wonderful! It's written for variety, with parts, solo, unison, and a grand finale.

Have heard this sung at the Gaither Homecoming by Bill Speer. Was looking for an arrangement that could either be used as a solo or for a quartet. This one is perfect.
