Bob Dufford wrote th 16ths (I think) and Douglas Wagner didn't take them out. But this is really a great piece. All you have to do is make the particularly difficult 16th note passages (those in the beginning) a solo. The congregation will love it, the soloist will love...

it and only one person has to learn the 16ths--or forget about them and interpret it their own way.

This is a beautiful song, beautifully presented. It was a very convenient way to buy enough copies of the song for all our musicians to use. Thank you.

This is typical of the schlacky folk style of music that the Catholic Church produced after Vatican II. Regarding the other review... if you are in fact familiar with the piece you would know of the rhythm that is rife with 16th notes. Also... look at the previews next time...

Before ordering I was very familiar with both the song and the arranger. I expected rehearsals to go very smoothly and yield a wonderful anthem. Not so. For some reason arranger Douglas Wagner chose to turn this otherwise beautiful song into a lesson in the complexities of 16th notes and...

double doted rhythms. They are everywhere in this piece. Even if I could teach my choir to read these rhythms with consistent accuracy, the result would be IMHO robotic and strident and unpleasing.
