Basic C6th Nonpedal Lap Steel Method

Basic C6th Nonpedal Lap Steel Method composed by DeWitt Scott. For Guitar (Lap Steel). Squareback saddle-stitched, Methods. All Styles. Beginning. Book/CD Set. 96 pages. Published by Mel Bay Publications, Inc (MB.95666BCD).

ISBN 9780786614493. All Styles. 8.75 x 11.75 inches.

Made famous by the legendary Jerry Byrd, the C6 tuning [CEGACE] for the non-pedal lap steel guitar has many advantages due to its versatility. The tuning is especially useful in playing two and three-string chord combinations and for easy single-string passages. Patience, dedication and many hours of practice are needed to perfect the "slant" bar positions, especially the reverse slants, but the end result is well worth the effort. This excellent text, written by Steel Guitar and Country Music Hall of Fame member DeWitt Scott, is written in standard notation and tablature.

  • February 21, 2007 Start to play steelguitar ? Here's a way!

I'm not a beginner myself but I need some textbook to tell other people how to play a steel guitar. Because I used to play all by my own way.I recommend this book for the beginner and also teaching people of steel guitar.
