Concert Band - Grade 2
Composed by Jay Bocook. MusicWorks Grade 2. Score and parts. Published by Hal Leonard (HL.4002200).

Item Number: HL.4002200

As the title implies, here is a dynamic work for band with plenty of Latin excitement and drive. Contrast and variety is provided in the melodic middle section, then the piece roars to a powerful conclusion. Impressive sounds for young groups! Dur: 2:20 (Grade 2).

  • October 18, 2008 Fantastic!

My high school concert band played this piece (Aztec Fire) a few years ago (gr. 10 or 11). Students of all grades were involved and we did exceedingly well on it. Now, as a teachers assistant at the same school, I have chosen it as my first conducting piece . The...

students have only run through it about half way one time so far, but they love it. There are really no dull instrument section parts, and it is a fantastic piece to help improve on rhythms and articulation! P.S. The trumpets have an AMAZING part!

  • March 23, 2008 Very energetic peice.

My high school band played this song for our senior halftime show last football season. We even brought out our more advanced percussion (like marimbas and vibes) to the feild. This song was so amazing to march to, and the whole band will never forget it. The audience was very...

enthusiastic about our performance, and I have a feeling they enjoyed it more than the actual football game! This peice is amazing for marching or for young contest. I'd recommend this peice for sixth grade band or inexperienced seventh grade band.
