About Original Sheet Music Edition

Each ORIGINAL SHEET MUSIC EDITION has been arranged for piano by Alfred's talented staff of arrangers. Every effort has been made for the arrangement to be playable on the piano and to sound as close to the original recording as possible. If there are lyrics, a separate vocal line is used so that singers can easily sing along, and all lyrics as heard on the original recording are always included. Almost all arrangements are written in the original key in which they were recorded.

when i ordered it i was concerned that it wouldn't have the beautiful themes and the exciting themes from the movie. when I got it and started playing I was totally blown away. it has almost all the major themes from the movie. it's written very playably, but...

still captures all the emotion of the movie. I couldn't believe how well done it was, most movie theme piano scores come out and are missing a lot of stuff, this has it all. and it's easy to play, written in F major and then modulated to C major. . . very playable and Beautiful!!! my sister might even use part of it in her wedding! and the only way it would be boring is if YOU don't put the emotion into it, anything will be boring and unimaginative if you don't put your OWN heart into it.

    Difficulty Level:
  • April 07, 2008 Doesn't Capture the Music of the Movie at All

The music in August Rush is simply fantastic. The type of stuff that makes you want to play guitar, and get into the music. The piano reduction has been reduced to the point where almost all the magic has been taken out of it. The entire first page is a...

series of alternating arpeggios, and it just feels like the orchestra is missing. If you are looking for something sight readable and not terribly interesting, this is good, if your looking for the music of August Rush... your better off transcribing it yourself.

  • March 24, 2008 I love it!!!

This sheet music is really fun and it really relates to the movie, which I also love. I enjoy playing it because it is not to hard for me but it is not incredibly easy either. I love it so much. Thank you.
